Equip, Raise and Release Leaders Within The Church

EQUIP is a church-based training that is designed to provide a sound biblical and ministry education for all believers at an affordable price and in a convenient way.

We are not a traditional Bible College but a general school of ministry training, designed for practical and theological training.  The educational model of EQUIP is one course for a short-term period that is four to six weekend classes.  The curriculum is designed to ensure that you succeed in your ministry training process, so that you can be who God has called you to be!

VISION

The vision of EQUIP is to train Kingdom men and women who are prepared for 21st century ministry quickly yet thoroughly, evaluated fairly, and dispatched freely to do ministry that is biblical, empowering, and impactful.  Our vision is to become a Kingdom resource for the Body of Christ that assists the local church in training, equipping, and empowering their leadership with a sound biblical education that is practical, affordable and accessible!

MISSION

Equipping Believers for Effective Ministry.

This Program includes three main areas of development :

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
We focus on the personal building up of character of every student here at ESOM.  Through relationship, effective character building and mentoring can and will occur.

BIBLICAL/THEOLOGICAL STUDIES
We promote and encourage a strong academic culture that assists in developing students biblically and theologically.

PRACTICAL MINISTRY EXPERIENCE AND PLACEMENT
We provide multiple ministry opportunities for students during their tenure at ESOM.  From outreach evangelism to home and foreign missions, every student will be able to engage and develop their giftings.

Accreditation

EQUIP is a recognized Institutional Member of the Asia Pacific Theological Association (APTA).

Admission Procedures

The Application

Those who plan to study for a particular program must register as a student at the onset of the course and submit their application with a non-refundable. one time application fee of RM10 for one particular program. Once accepted. all course work
for that program will be credited and tracked accordingly.

Admission Requirements

The teachings are designed to meet the spiritual needs of all believers. ESOM accepts students from all denominations.

All applicants should:

  • Fully subscribe to the doctrinal stand of ESOM.
  • Demonstrate a consistent and committed Christian life and are active members of their home church, having a desire to serve or are presently serving the Lord in a specific area of ministry.
  • Be in good general physical health.
  • Be proficient in the English language.
  • Have the endorsement and recommendation of their Pastor/Overseer.

Applicants who have not received the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues are encouraged to desire and seek to be filled with the Spirit.

Faculty and Staff

Our faculty is staffed primarily by the pastoral and ministerial team of Glad Tidings Assembly of God. In addition, experienced pastors, ministers, educators, representatives who are specialists in their own fields of expertise and interest, from Bible colleges and seminaries, local churches, para-churches and mission organizations will be invited to teach.

TERM 2

Missions Exposure Programme (MEP)

This is a practical programme which will provide an insightful glimpse into short-term mission trips and how you can be a partner with Christ in spreading the Good News. An eye-opening course about the harvest field that is compulsory for participating in the church’s missions trips. Learn from those who have been going to the mission field regularly and catch God’s heartbeat for the lost.

 

All participants are advised to attend Sunday 8.30am service or Saturday 5.00pm service.

The Millennial Question

How do millennials engage with spirituality? Why does there seem to be a disconnect between the church and so many of this generation? What will it take for us to reach them for Christ? (According to the Barna Group, millennials are those born between 1984 and 1998.)

David - A God Chaser

David was a hero because he was the ideal king and a man after God’s own heart. Yet the Bible never hides the fact that David was far from perfect and addressed issues like his adultery with Bathsheba, his murder of Uriah and his dysfunctional family. Nevertheless, David was highly favoured by God and this course will explore different aspects of the David’s life to glean insights to draw closer to God.

Nurture

If you are already a believer of Jesus Christ, or would like to know more about Jesus, this course is a perfect start to your journey to know Jesus. We will walk you through how to read the Bible, praying to God, understanding the Holy Spirit, and discovering the joy of being a part of the family of God in the Church! Romans

The book of Romans is the longest and most systematically reasoned of Paul’s letters. This course will provide insights into trusting Christ for our righteousness, what living a spirit-filled life is about and the history of our salvation by understanding Israel’s role. We will discover practical Christian living principles in this book that is filled with such rich teaching.

Spiritual Gifts

A spiritual gift is a supernatural endowment of grace given by the Holy Spirit for the church. Discover why the God bestows His own presence and power on ordinary followers of Jesus. Learn what it means to be ministers in the kingdom of God.

Mature

This course is suitable for those who have completed the Nurture course, or for any believer wishing to grow in the Lord. Learn what it means to follow Jesus, understand how to live as a worshipper, discover what spiritual gifts are about and find out the principles of godly stewardship. This is the course to set you on a journey of knowing Jesus, and how to honour and serve him.

Spiritual Encounter

Need a breakthrough in your spiritual walk? Come and learn how to use your authority as a Christian and resist the work of the enemy in your life. With the baptism of the Holy Spirit, you will be able to strengthen your prayer life. The objective of this course is to enable Christians to enjoy the liberty that God has given us to live a victorious life.
