Nurturing Healthy Soul While Helping Others by Rev Irene Ong

As people helpers, we journey with people in their grief, sorrows, and struggles. There may be times some of the unsettled issues in our lives may surface. Our souls may be fractured. In this talk we attempt to explore the different aspects of souls:

• What is a healthy soul?
• How to identify unhealthy soul?
• How to nurture our soul?

We take care of our soul so that we can help people in an effective way.

Speaker: Rev Irene Ong

By the grace of God, together with her husband (Rev Dr Stanley Lim), both have been serving in full time ministry for 42 years. They have pioneered a church in Kuala Lumpur for seven years, pastored another two churches for several years. She was a part time lecturer in Bible College of Malaysia (BCM) and have served as the Dean of Women. Pastor Rev Irene has graduated with Master of Divinity (Malaysia Baptist Theological Seminary, Penang) and Masters in Counselling (HELP University, Kuala Lumpur). She was a former Board member of National Association of Christian Counsellor (NACC) Malaysia. Currently she is a licensed counsellor with the Malaysia Board of Counsellors, having many years of individual and marriage counselling experiences. Presently she involves in professional counselling and ministering alongside with husband in itinerant ministry. They are blessed with 3 adult children (a daughter and 2 sons) and 2 young granddaughters.
